Queen Camilla rejects bizarre viral sensation during outing with grandchildren

Queen Camilla was keen to avoid a particularly bizarre flavour of ice cream that has taken the internet by storm.

The Queen, who celebrates her 78th birthday this week, decided to pass on the viral sensation as she treated her five grandchildren to an ice cream tasting experience.

Camilla took Lola, Freddy, Eliza, Louis and Gus, her grandchildren from her first marriage, to the swanky The Ice Cream Project by Anya Hindmarch store in Belgravia.

The group participated in a blind tasting session priced at £45 per person, where they sampled various unusual ice cream flavours whilst attempting to identify each one.

Armed with pen and paper, the royal party was challenged to guess the ingredients in an array of unconventional frozen treats.

The tasting featured an eclectic selection of flavours, including olive oil, sriracha hot sauce, and even pickled onion ice cream.

According to a source, "Camilla and her grandchildren had a great time tasting all of the strange flavours."

However, they added that the Queen drew the line at one of the range's most divisive offerings.

"Camilla didn't fancy tasting the pickled onion ice cream," the source told The Sun.

The parlour's menu boasts numerous unconventional options, from Irn-Bru and Bird's Custard to Bisto Gravy and Maldon Sea Salt sorbet.

Other distinctive flavours available include McVitie's Milk Chocolate HobNobs, Quaker Oats, Romney's Kendal Mint Cake, and Jacob's Twiglets.

The Queen was particularly impressed by certain flavours, purchasing substantial quantities to take home.

The source revealed: "Afterwards she bought a lot of treats for her grandchildren and left with a scoop of Club Orange and another of Ovaltine, both for herself."

The outing represents an annual tradition for Camilla, who treats her grandchildren to a special experience each year.

The visit occurred just two days before the Queen's 78th birthday on Thursday.
